Super thin and light weight. Does a good job at cooling the laptop. Kinda wish there we more ways to power it though, only takes usb.
the pads are nice and do help keep the laptop cool but the cords and ports wear out quickly. The lights are nice and if not wanted the option to turn off is great. The fans have different speeds and all still work even a couple years down the road. Once the cord wears down the lights get a bit messed up but still able to use it.
I have owned this for about two years now, and it still works perfectly! It's not quite as silent as it used to be, but it definitely isn't noisy or annoying by any means. I have a 19" laptop, so it's very hard to find any accessories that fit. This does the trick! My laptop does stick off the back an inch or two, but that doesn't seem to bother the cooling effect.I mainly use this cooling pad when I'm doing something that uses a lot of CPU power (such as live streaming via capture card) and it causes my laptop to overheat. This cooling pad solved the issue! No more overheating (and shutting down) in the middle of a live stream! Also, the extra USB ports on the side are great for all the devices I add for my livestreams! Just don't plug in your microphone, headphones, or capture card into them because those need direct access to work. (Found that out the hard way lol.)
Meh... This cooler is ok. It's WAY overpriced. The airflow on "Max" is lower than most others I’ve used for 1/2 this price. The "aluminum alloy” is just the top grate... The rest is still cheap plastic. The supplied USB cord is USB A Male to USB A Male. Since most modern laptops use USB C these days, that can be a problem. Additionally, the USB cord is really heavy weight, rigid, and 4 FEET LONG! Seriously... Who will have their laptop 4 FEET AWAY FROM THE COOLER? When using a USB C converter to make this work, the rigidness of the cord puts a lot of stress on my USB C port which will eventually lead to a busted port.Now.. I have a large file cabinet drawer literally full of USB cables. But I have 0 USB A to USB A cables. They just are not common. I have A to C, A to Micro, A to Mini, A to B, A Male to A female....I tried a dozen A to C cables, using C into the laptop, and A into the cooler... No good.I have a few different adapters on order to try to get this working with a more lightweight and short cable... Hopefully one works out.For the price... I wouldn’t buy this again.
Very functional. Adds additional cooling. Decent quality.
